Lee’s Road
The school went for a ramble in Lee’s Road last June as part of our Active Week. The sunshine was out and we explored the forest paths looking for native trees and their leaves. We came across a poetry forest and enjoyed playing on the obstacle course. After, we deserved a rest and enjoyed our picnic. A game of soccer and frisbee fun finished off our great trip.
Easter Stroll
The whole school were blessed with the weather and enjoyed a lovely stroll through the Lissycasey Duck Pond. We encountered a wide variety of plant life and animal life with wild garlic and the ducks being a big hit. After our walk, some fun and challenging team activities tested the pupils skills. Finally, when we arrived back to school, the Easter Bunny had come and gone and the pupils were thrilled with what was left behind!
Witches’ Walk
Just before Halloween, we had a wonderful school outing to the cascades in Lissycasey. The children were decked out in an impressive array of costumes and really enjoyed the stroll through the spooky forest and down to the cascades where we had a lovely picnic.
Thank you to all the parents who joined us for the walk and hopefully we can make it an annual outing. Thank also to all who sponsored the children. The school raised €500 to be spent on improving the PE equipment in the school.
