Our school has a number of vegetable plots in our school garden. In spring, we plant our crops and watch them grow up to the summer holidays. Last year, we had onions, lettuce, strawberries and swiss chard. We have also planted a variety of bulbs that bloom at different times during the year.
In recent years, we have been very active in our garden by installing new vegetable beds and planting fruit trees and bushes. The dug and lined a biodiversity pond also which we hope will attract a variety of creatures to our garden. The children really enjoy working in the garden and look forward to it every year.
In 2019, we built a bug hotel to encourage little visitors to our environment. Here are some photos of all our hard work and of our pupils enjoying the delicious strawberries from our garden.
