OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide a model of primary education that reflects Ireland in the 21st Century. We celebrate the uniqueness of each child as expressed in each child’s personality, intelligence and potential for holistic development. We are committed to:

  • helping pupils develop a lively enquiring mind,
  • developing a sense of fair play, tolerance and respect towards other people and their views,
  • creating a happy, stimulating and creative environment where children are keen to learn,
  • developing a school in which the members of the community have confidence and feel welcome,

SCHEDULE OF A CATHOLIC SCHOOL

As a Roman Catholic School (which was established in connection with the Minister), Caherea National School aims at promoting the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the person of the pupil: intellectual, physical, cultural, moral and spiritual, including a living relationship with God and with other people. The school models and promotes a philosophy of life inspired by belief in God and in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Catholic school provides religious education for the pupils in accordance with the doctrines, practices and tradition of the Roman Catholic Church and promotes the formation of the pupils in the Catholic Faith.
