Our School

Welcome to Caherea National School.

Our school was founded in 1961 and has always had a very close connection with the local community. It is a two-class school with a supportive atmosphere that encourages everyone to work and develop together. We have a separate room for special education teaching and a yard that includes a basketball court, an astro-turf, an outdoor learning area and a school garden.

At present, there are 35 pupils in the school with 13 in the junior room and 22 in the senior room. We have two mainstream class teachers, one special education teacher and one special needs assistants.
