Charity Work

Our Student Council are very conscious of the importance of giving to charity for everyone in the school. Each year, they run a number of fundraisers and collections to encourage pupils to give what they can to those who need it.

Bake Sale for St. Vincent de Paul

A number of very successful bake sales have been run by the Student Council in recent years. Our most recent bake sale, raised over €200 for St. Vincent de Paul. The pupils love the event and went home well fed!

Down Syndrome Ireland

Well done to our Student Council who held a Christmas Jumper Day to raise money for Down Syndrome Ireland. Thanks to very generous donations from the pupils of the school, €118 was raised for the worthy cause.

Clare Haven Christmas Appeal

There was a massive response to our Clare Haven Christmas Appeal. The Caherea community showed their true festive generosity by donating a huge variety of non-perishable goods and household items that will be invaluable to those who benefit from the tremendous work that Clare Haven do.

Missionvale

A Colours Day was held in the school in October to raise money for three local transition year pupils who will be travelling to Missionvale. The will be volunteering in many of the projects that were established there by Sr. Ethel Normoyle. Christmas Shoebox Appeal

The Christmas Shoebox Appeal is a wonderful opportunity for us to help bring hope and kindness to those who need it most. The shoebox gifts go right into the hands of some of the world’s most vulnerable children; many of whom will receive no other gift for Christmas. For some it’s the first gift they’ve ever received.

It’s hope, it’s God’s love, it’s joy and excitement – It’s the whole of Christmas wrapped up in a Shoebox !

Thank you for sharing your Christmas with children who have so little – It means so much to them.
